Our ideal Crew Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their crew while on the job site. They will be responsible for creating and implementing a safe work environment including the safe use of machinery, materials and supervision of 3-4 staff. The ideal candidate will be able to manage, train, coach and mentor a crew while ensuring quality control, safety and outstanding customer service.
The selected candidate will work in collaboration with the WTS Inc. team providing service including (but not limited to): Tree removal, pruning, tree preservation, structural reinforcement, emergency tree service, tree planting , ground restoration, client communication and forest salvage for residential, commercial, industrial, construction and municipal clients throughout Simcoe County and Muskoka.
ISA Certification Arborist or industry equivalent preferred
Knowledge in the safe operation of forestry machinery including but not limited to Chainsaws, Chippers, Excavators, Skid Steers, Stump Grinders, Bucket Truck, Cranes - or the willingness to learn.
Working at Heights Certification - or willingness to obtain
Bucket experience considered an asset
Skilled execution of a traffic control plan - an asset
DZ or AZ considered an asset, G license required
Clean driver's abstract
Skilled execution of a traffic control plan an asset
First Aid considered an asset
Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Physical position,which requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions
