Job Description

Treecologic  Inc. is looking for an Arborist Climber / Apprentice  to join our team !

We are small company in a great little capital city with lots of trees and a well established clientele. 

The perfect candidate is someone looking for a long term career in the tree care industry and willing to take on responsibility beyond general tree work and help us grow. 

The majority of our work is residential with some commercial and utility line clearance (mostly storm response) mixed in.

We do a lot of climbing but also have an aerial lift truck, 2 stump grinders and have recently been doing a bit of trail work for the local mountain bike club. 

At Treecologic we have created a culture for quality work and a safe work environment. 

We do a lot of in house training but also attend local ISA events and will send employees to Arbor Canada courses periodically.

Minimum requirements:

Full time availability ( there is a seasonal aspect where we do slow down in the winter months) 

Climbing experience would be an asset but willingness to learn is even more important.

Must own your climbing equipment or be willing to buy it.

Must have a valid class 5 driving licence, and your own transportation to the shop. An air brake endorsement would be an asset.

Strong team based work ethic.

Experience operating wood chippers and chain saws wold be an asset (willing to train). 

ISA Arborist or Tree Worker - Climber Specialist certification an asset but not mandatory. We are willing to help the right candidate obtain professional and trade qualifications.
