PREVIOUS ARBORICULTURE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Salary: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
The Arborist role includes pruning trees, removing dead trees, stump grinding, and working with customers to understand their needs with woody plants and trees on their property.
- Provide excellent customer communications based on knowledgeable diagnosis, expert information, and recommendations
that meet client goals and arboricultural standards.
- Work closely with the crew leader and team members to ensure every customer receives the best possible service throughout the process. Job follow up is required to ensure work is completed to customer satisfaction with the goal of long term retention.
- Identify and implement safety practices and hazards before, during and after the job.

- Survey and assess designated sites
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
- Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products
- Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions
- Assess the health of lawns
- Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
- Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes
- Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures
- Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ arboriculture experience
- Graduate of a recognized program in arboriculture, urban forestry of equivalent
- ISA Certified Arborist | Tree Risk Assessor
- ‘G’ Driver’s license or equivalent with clean drivers abstract
- Current WHMIS, First Aid and CPR
- Landscape/Forestry Exterminator’s License
- Competent in technical report-writing, tree identification & assessment
- Practical knowledge of tree biology, tree biomechanics and arboricultural practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
