The General Manager must possess and provide an above-average level of industry customer service to all of our external and prospective customers as well to provide assistance and partnership to the management and multiple other roles and positions within the company.
This role provides direct supervision to a multiple of internal positions within Tree Doctors from administrative roles to estimator/arborist roles to production roles as well as the PHC division. Some key points put not limited to:
Provide excellent customer communications based on knowledgeable diagnosis, expert information, and recommendations
that meet client goals and arboricultural standards.
Work closely with production and administrative staff to ensure every customer receives the best possible service throughout
the sales and production process. Complete job follow up is required to ensure work is completed to customer satisfaction with the goal
of long term retention.
Assist by way of identifying and implementing sales and marketing strategies to assist growing the company by building current client potential, generating leads through referrals and renewing inactive customer relationships to create profitable sales of all company services
Above average ability to be personable and assistive over the telephone with customers and prospective customers
Above average ability to be proactive when dealing with customers both external and internal
Above average ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and decisive manner
Must have the ability to both accept and delegate responsibilities
Above average communication and listening skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask as required
Ability to carry out tree care operations to the current industry standards in accordance with the needs of the particular species and associated environment (ISA compliant) as well keeping up to date on industry training requirements and educations tools
Ability to use, maintain and direct the appropriate tools, vehicles, equipment as required and in a completely safe and competent manner
Up to date on current arboriculture practices, management and maintenance techniques including legislation and guidelines
Assist all other levels of management and employees as required
Readily available when needed to assist a crew on site with complicated tasks making sure that all health and safety matters are being followed at all times
Above average ability to maintain accurately and up to date records at all times
Above average computer skill and experience
Will be called upon by executive management in setting and adhering to on-going company budgets
Assist the manager, human resources on planning for appropriate employee training needs
Will be called upon by executive management to attend external customer meetings and sites in order to appropriately, accurately and effectively estimate and consult on tenders and bids of all sizes and customers
Has an above-average sense and ability for "thinking outside of the box" in order to resolve problems and issues as they arise

Exhibits are a true passion for arboriculture
Above-average tree identification ability, diagnose problems and recommend management solutions based on good arboriculture practices and current industry standards
Excellent communication - verbal, nonverbal, active listening observational, written and negotiation skills
Excellent conflict resolution skills which include staying professional and composed, managing emotions, focusing on goals desired outcomes, communicating effectively for desired results
Strong sense of teamwork based on respect for production staff, management, and administrative staff as well as al customers
