Job Description
Duties:
- Perform all aspects of arbor care including: tree removals, pruning, precision falling & bucking, cabling & bracing, risk mitigation, heavy rigging
- Perform large hedging work using bucket trucks and/or ladders
- Work with external contractors and their equipment, such as cranes & excavators
- Coordinate with other Arborists, Climbers & Grounds staff
- Maintain and service chainsaws and other small equipment
Qualifications:
- 2+ years climbing experience
- Trained in aerial rescues
- Trained in spur-less climbing
- Previous crew management/supervision
- ISA Certification or Int'l equivalent an asset
- Forest fuel reduction experience an asset
- Invasive Plant Management and/or Pesticide/Fertilizer application experience an asset
- Valid BC driver's license (air brakes an asset)
- Level 1 First Aid certificate an asset
- Canadian resident or hold valid work visa
Compensation:
- $24+/hr (more depending on experience/skill level)
