The Arborist Assistant role is for you if:

Descriptions of Duties

  • Providing assistance with tree pruning and tree removal to client properties.
  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of  trucks, heavy equipment, chainsaws, any rigging and/or additional equipment.
  • Performing site cleanup including brush and wood removal, raking and site remediation.
  • Assisting with required general maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
  • Abiding by safety policies and procedures. 
  • Trained to use chainsaws, chippers and other power/handheld tools safely
  • Developing tree and shrub identification skills. 
  • Following the directions given by lead hand, foreperson or management.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid “G” license
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to work towards becoming a certified arborist
  • Previous industry experience in landscape/horticulture considered an asset
  • capable of working up to 50 hours a week
