We are searching for a lead-climber/professional arborist to add to our team, with the intention of forming a second crew to expand our business. While I will be on-site supervising jobs as much as possible, we are looking for a team leader. We are willing to train and develop specific trade skills however basic climbing/cutting skills are mandatory. The suitable applicant will be climbing every day, making precise cuts (pies large and small, split cuts, spear cuts, hinge cuts, etc.), communicating with groundsman, rigging limbs (knowledge of knots are an asset), felling trees with mechanical assistance, and leading clean-up from the ground.
We are based out of Parry Sound and service approximately an hour's radius in any direction. We have all of the tools required for safe practice of the trade (climbing gear, ropes, saws, PPE, accessories/pulleys/friction systems, etc.). Transportation can be provided, however a full G driver with a vehicle is a huge asset. If the applicant does not live locally, we are able to provide affordable living accommodations. Wages are flexible depending on skill level, but generous as a small business with a large client list. We are open to long-term contract climber situations as well. Team leading skills are also a valuable asset and will be reciprocated. At least one year of trade experience is mandatory.
Applicants can be full-time or sub-contracted. Please contact Mike at...
