This description won't be typical. We're a small tree care company providing service in the Peterborough area. This is a veteran-owned company and as the owner I've had experiences in my (military) career that have made me clearly realize that there is much more to life than work. With that said, we've always had a certain culture here that is very fun, down-to-earth, positive, flexible and relaxed, though we like to work hard as well. For example, I live in a modified Sprinter van and typically drive to Mexico to live and rock climb for the winter. Mid-day swims and ice cream stops are not uncommon and much time is often spent in the mornings in casual conversation about life before the work begins. It's really just hanging out and doing cool stuff.
Like I said, generally, I shut things down come late fall, but this year, I've got a lot of work that I want to take care of and I need some good helpers until at least January. By "good", I mean someone that has enough skill in this industry that I don't need to detail the duties and responsibilities of a grounds person and/or a climber. Someone that is safety-conscious, situationally-aware, knows how to manage themselves, relationships, a saw, ropes and rigging, and who actually wants to expand their bag of tricks in this industry. If you can climb and have gear, all the better.
I'll happily pay you well for your skill and I'm happy to give opportunity for your skill development as I can.
