Arbor-aide is seeking an individual(s) to train for Crew Leader position. Duties may include, but not limited to, climbing, equipment operation and maintenance (bucket truck, hiab crane, chipper, stump grinder, chainsaws), rope access and rigging, site set up and clean up, deep root fertilizing and hedge trimming, employee interaction and assessment, customer/public relations.
The ideal candidate should be:
Good at problem solving and job assessment,
Excellent communicator and organization skills.
Knowledgeable in basic climbing and rigging practices.
Observant of surroundings including hazard identification.
Open to suggestions and able to receive and explain criticism where necessary.
Climbing assessment may be required as part of the interview process.
Relocation bonus is a possibility.
Additional professional training available
College level education in the Arboricultural field is encouraged and subsidized for the right candidate that wants to advance their training beyond our in-house training.
ISA certification is strongly encouraged.
G Licence minimum, DZ preferred
Minimum of 2 years arboricultural experience including 1 year climbing experience
WHIMIS, First Aid/CPR, Working at Heights, Chainsaw, D or DZ licence, ISA certification, Arboriculture or Urban Forestry Certification, Arboriculture Canada Training courses.
