Junior and Lead Climbing Arborists

Since 1996, we have cared for Toronto’s urban forest, and we take pride in providing prompt and reliable service to our clients. We are a full-service tree care company and are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

We are currently hiring Junior and Lead Climbing Arborists. Immediate hiring is available for qualified applicants. Year round employment available as well.

Junior Climber Position Overview:

The Junior Climbing Arborist is responsible for carrying out duties assigned by the Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Leader or designated supervisor in a safe and efficient manner, including but not limited to:

• Preparing necessary equipment for the workday
• Ensuring work is conducted safely
• Pruning and removing small to medium sized trees

Junior Climber Qualifications:

• Full or partial completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience
  • ISA Certification or MTCU Qualification an asset
• G driver’s license with a clean abstract (DZ license an asset)
• Minimum 1 year climbing experience in arboriculture
• Proficient in rigging techniques
• Tree and shrub identification
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Driven and self-directed when completing tasks

Lead Climber Position Overview:

The Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Leader directs the climbing crew, oversees the completion of tree work, and ensures work is carried out safely and efficiently. The responsibilities of a Lead Climbing Arborist/Crew Leader include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the crew and necessary equipment for the workday
• Ensuring work is conducted safely
• Pruning, removing, and cabling trees of all sizes

Lead Climber Qualifications:

• Full or partial completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience
  • ISA Certification or MTCU Qualification an asset
• G driver’s license with a clean abstract (DZ license an asset)
• Minimum 1 year climbing experience in arboriculture
• Proficient in rigging techniques
• Tree and shrub identification
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Driven and self-directed when completing tasks
