What you can expect the first 90-days on the job: Week 1-2: To get things going, the first item on the agenda will be introducing you to your supervisor, Richard and the rest of the team. Your first week on the job will include your onboarding which will mainly involve on the job training and ensuring you become comfortable with the physical environment you’ll be working in. Safety is everything to our team, so you’ll also be trained on WHIMIS and reviewing all Health and safety policies and procedures. Almost immediately, you’ll be partnering with Richard interviewing candidates for the Grounds Person role. You’ll be responsible for this individual on-site. The next 6-weeks: By this time, you’ll be familiar with all the important tasks you need to complete in a competent and safe manner. Being familiar with all the ins and outs of the job, you are also very familiar with the work your Grounds Person does and are coaching and guiding him/her on a day-to-day basis.
